Hey I am Rachit Mishra, a 20 year old Engineering student from Mumbai, resident of Andheri. A typical foodie exploring amazing places around western suburbs and the most carefree attitude as normally any teenager at this age would have. Well what was abnormal in this whole scenario was my bulkier getting body, weighing 95Kgs, just close to hitting the century. Certainly I had pet names like fatty, mote etc etc amongst friends. Indeed it would hurt my self esteem and lower the complex however with carefree stint I blissfully ignored because the fact that none of the friends bullied me or over exaggerated the teasing I continued to eat unhealthy, junk food. It’s that feeling of wanting to eat wherever and whenever, whatever comes your way without thinking of repercussions later.Common you have one life! Who cares! This all observed by my parents was hurting them. They sat me down one fine day and asked me to consider gym and exercise. No!! Complete No!! How can I ever do that I said to myself, it’s so boring to hit those health resolutions you take on new year’s eve to never fulfill them. After I consistently denied, parents came to strict parenting and literally pushed me down to Gym path.
Because once you have pushed yourself defying your own limits you feel nothing but inspired all the more.
Unwillingly to pull those weights, dumbbells, crunches, pushups all of this torture, who does that? Only fitness freaks right and those fighting champions? Normal people won’t! I did eventually. This torture continued for one month. Didn’t bother to look at myself enough! After all this was forced by parents and gym trainer.
My trainer came into picture, Sameer Sir who would always ask me to push extra, as nothing was enough for him. Good thing was he started with basics though Thank god! This didn’t stop here, my diet was observed, changes were made accordingly which I didn’t like much though. From Pizza to Paratha every favorite food had vanished. Home cooked, mom made traditional food replaced my otherwise enjoyable food life!!
However something had changed inside me had started to feel lighter, flexible. It was this feeling of change, yes exactly can’t be described in words but the change becomes special when people around you start noticing. “Hey Rachit you look different dude!” ,yeah when you get acknowledged for the change you’ve made with your hard work and inspiration you end up feeling encouraged to do better. At this stage I wanted to get noticed more, more change, and better looks. This want of looking better and best was my energy booster! There was no looking back after this was it? Because once you have pushed yourself defying your own limits you feel nothing but inspired all the more. Ahead of four months of encouragement, inspiration, passion to pursue fitness I was at 65!
Being careless is easy, however being responsible is tough Giving up seems faster, Never give up is long lasting and fruitful Routine is achievable however Change is magical!
Phew!! This was it….Results! Trust me it was more than any exhilaration I could feel within me. Better Me, Changed Me! Well behind every successful story there is more than one character! Yeah and every transformation story is incomplete without a trainer, coach and a teacher! Sameer Talashikar aka Sameer Sir ,all thanks to him for always pushing me little extra on every front and guiding me all through which started with basics, balanced diet and an extra push for workout! That keeping watch on every front is always needed when a stubborn soul like me wasn’t ready to even start this journey! A good trainer will not only show you the path but walk through with you.
Secondly none other than I am hugely obliged to my wonderful Parents, hadn’t they pushed and acted strict I would have continued to be negligent heavyweight careless teenager who has this unhealthy lifestyle forever. Parents always know what’s good for their kids, don’t they? Well this is my story of achieving desired change, I am at Dubai for further studies now yearning for newer targets and goals of fitness. Still in touch with Sameer Sir consulting him regularly. Because this is just the beginning and I am addicted to this change now as good addictions are the ways of Life and so is healthier way of living it !!! Common you have just one Life! Being careless is easy, however being responsible is tough Giving up seems faster, Never give up is long lasting and fruitful Routine is achievable however Change is magical!
Try it! Push a little extra always! Never give up!
